Here’s a DIY that’ll please kids who love to play dress-up for any occasion!

This week, we’re making an indian headdress to have fun with our little ones…

  • coloured paper sheets
  • glitter paper sheets
  • masking tape
  • thin cardboard (like the cereal box type)
  • scissors
  • a cutter
  • a ruler
  • and…glue

DIY Indian Headdress
Step 1: first of all, cut out a strip of paper of the size of your kid's head diameter. Here, we've made a strip that's 4cm wide and circa 50cm long.

Step 2: then, cut out a 4cm wide strip of paper. To make a triangle, take a ruler, sketch one of each edge every 4cm, then the other edge by shifting the sketches. Cut out the triangles.

Step 3: glue the triangles on the big strip.

Step 4: decorate the headdress with patterns made out of masking tape.

Step 5: then, print out our template on coloured paper sheets, cut out the shapes and trim the edges to make the "feathery" effect.

Step 6: cut 5mm wide strips into thin cardboard. Use them to strengthen the bigger feathers.

Step 7: to finish, glue the feathers to the inner part of the headdress. Fasten them all by adding a long piece of masking tape.

Step 8: connect the 2 strips' edges with a piece of tape. And your indian headdress is ready!
