How about starting this new year with a fun and simple game for kids?

Here’s our first Wednesday DIY of the year!

Tangram Puzzle DIY

For this DIY, you will need:

  • 1 magnetic sheet (a 12cm square minimum)
  • 7 different coloured foam paper sheets
  • a ruler
  • a ballpoint pen
  • a 5cm diameter hole puncher (optional)
  • our free template that you can download below and the shape templates
  • and… scissors

Tangram Puzzle DIY
Step 1: download and print our tangram template. Cut out the 7 shapes.

Step 2: apply one of the shapes on the corresponding coloured foam paper sheet.

Step 3: trace the shape's outline with a ruler and a pen.

Step 4: repeat these steps to make the 6 other shapes.

Step 5: display the magnetic sheet on the "paper" side and outline the first shape with a pen and ruler. Repeat with the six other shapes.

Step 6: then, cut out the shapes by following the outlines.

Step 7: finally, glue the 7 shapes of paper foam on the 7 corresponding magnetic shapes. And tadaaaa! The tangram is ready!

Step 8: print and cut out the 16 shapes to replicate. Ideally, you can use a 5cm diameter perforating tool, but a pair of scissors will do the trick!

Step 9: your puzzle is finished! Try to recreate the different pictures that you can see on the white cards!
