Transform an empty box of crisps into the cutest robot pen holder with our simple DIY.

Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
an empty crips box (Pringles, for example)
kraft paper
yellow poster paint
a black ballpoint pen
feltips
wire
pearls, nuts, washer
a big eraser
a cork
3 brass fasteners
and…scotch tape
Steps

Step 1: cut the empty box in two to create the head and body of the robot. Adjust the height according to what you wish to put inside the finished product.

Step 2: cover and glue the outside of the box with kraft paper.

Step 3: pile up and cork piece, a washer and a pearl to make the ears.

Step 4: paint them in yellow, as well as two wing nuts that'll be the robot's hands.

Step 5: cut the eraser in half. If it's brand new, round an edge of each piece. Then, paint the two pieces yellow.

Step 6: draw some screws and pieces on your robot's body.

Step 7: make some eyebrows and a mouth with small pieces of cardboard and brass fasteners. Paint two small pieces of cork in black and add a bit of white in the middle to make the eyes.

Step 8: place them on the robot's head and ouline the eys with the ballpoint pen.

Step 9: draw the sneakers' details with the ballpoint pen and glue them to the robot's body. Add a wedge at the back of the robot to make it stable.

Step 10: glue the ears on. Wrap some wire around a knitting needle to make both antennas for the robot and stick them with some tape on the inside of its head.

Step 11: wrap some wire around a feltip to make two springs to which you'll add the wing nuts. Fasten them with a knot. Make two small holes on each side of the robot's body and attach the arms by taping them on the inside.

Step 12: attach three wires on the inside of the robot (2 on each side and one at the back) and tape the ends to each body part. Leave approximately 5mm of space between the head and the body.

Step 13: your pencil holder is finished!
