Create a great pirate-themed birthday by making this easy coconut shy game!
Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
- 6 tin cans
- our pirate templates that you can download below
- masking tape
- balloons
- scissors
- rice
- and…glue
Steps

Step 1: peel the label off the tin can.2
Step 3: put some masking tape on the edge of the tin can to avoid cutting yourself.3
Step 2: and peel all of the tin cans' labels.4
Step 4: fold the excess tape into the tin can.5
Step 5: repeat these steps on the remaining tin cans.6
Step 6: cut out the pirate skull template.7
Step 7: then, cut all the remaining templates.8
Step 8: apply some glue on the edges of the paper and glue it on the tin can.9
Step 9: close it up with a bit of glue. 10
Step 10: repeat these steps to make the other cans. Can you find the Pirate Island's lost treasure?11
Step 11: to make a ball, you will need balloons, rice and scissors.12
Step 12: start by filling up the balloon with rice, using a funnel or funnel-shaped sheet of paper.13
Step 13: make a knot to close it up and cut off the excess.14
Step 14: cut up another balloon like on the picture.15
Step 15: then, cover up the rice-filled balloon with this second balloon.16
Step 16: cover it once more with another balloon to make it more sturdy!17
Step 17: your pirate coconut shy game is finally ready to play!
