Today, discover a DIY tutorial that will allow your kids to have a lot of fun during a birthday party – a small slingshot, made from recyclable objects.

Perfect for launching coloured paper balls!

DIY for Kids: Bazooka Slingshot

For this DIY, you will need:

  • 2 toilet paper rolls (or two halfs of a kitchen towel roll)
  • a glue stick
  • gift wrap
  • 2 elastic bands
  • adhesive or masking tape
  • 1 wooden pencil
  • ping-pong balls or coloured paper balls
  • a box cutter
  • and… a pair of scissors

Step 1: cover the two rolls with gift wrap.

Step 2: strengthen the edges with some masking tape (inside and outside).

Step 3: make two cuts with scissors on each side of the bigger roll and two X-shape cuts on the smaller one - at the level of masking tape.

Step 4: put the pencil through the small roll. Then, attach the elastic bands on the cuts of the bigger roll.

Step 5: insert the small roll into the big one and attach the elastic bands onto the pencil.

Step 6: insert the missile into your mini bazooka.

Step 7: to launch, hold the bigger roll with one hand and pull the elastic bands with the other by holding the pencil. Fire!
