Easy tutorial to transform old yogurt pots to decorate the kid’s room!
Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
empty yogurt pots
bells
toilet paper
glue
gouache paint
a paintbrush
a pair of scissors
a box cutter
and… leather strings or an old leather belt to cut in stripes
Steps
1
Step 1: cut the edges off the pots to different height. Prepare the paper-mache glue - glue diluted in water 1/1.
2
Step 2: cover the pots by using paper-mache technique - one layer on the inside and at least two layers on the outside. Accentuate the edges to make it look like ceramic.
3
Step 3: make a hole on the bottom of the pot. Use a cork to not deform the pots.
4
Step 4: paint the pots white.
5
Step 5: paint your bells with pretty patterns.
6
Step 6: cut the leather.
7
Step 7: put the thread through the hole. Make a knot that will hold the chime. On the bottom, attach the bell.
8
Step 8: hang everything on one of our indian flutes 😉
Decorate your kid’s room with these wind chimes by hanging them on the edge of a window.
