Transform an old headband into a beautiful princess crown
with a few rhinestones and some gold glitter paper!
Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
- our free template that you can download below
- a pencil
- some gold colour spray paint
- scissors
- superglue
- strong glue
- silver rhinestones of different shapes and sizes
- a headband
- gold and silver paper
- and… white felt
Steps

Step 1: spray paint the headband and let it dry for approximately an hour. 2
Step 2: download, print and cut out the templates of the crown and gems. 3
Step 3: draw the outlines of the crown template on the gold paper and the outlines of the gems on the silver paper. Then, cut out all of these pieces. 4
Step 4: glue the four gems on the crown (see picture above). 5
Step 5: glue some rhinestones on the gems and on the ends of the crown. 6
Step 6: turn the crown over and apply some glue on one of the outer edges. 7
Step 7: close up the crown and press firmly until both ends have adhered. 8
Step 8: using a pencil, outline the inner portion of the crown on some white felt. Add a 1cm margin and cut out the circle.9
Step 9: add some glue on the outer rims of the crown. 10
Step 10: and fasten the crown at the center of the felt. 11
Step 11: apply some superglue on the outer rims of the felt. 12
Step 12: finally, glue the crown on top of the headband - your crown is ready for the little princess!
