Today, we’re creating a DIY cloud mobile, which will add a lovely decoration to your little one’s room.

Fetch your needles and scissors, and let’s get crafty!

Child's room mobile

For this DIY, you will need:

  • 2 free templates that you can download below
  • nylon thread
  • a glue stick
  • scissors
  • white, black and pink felt
  • a pencil
  • a pretty branch
  • a needle
  • white sewing thread
  • glitter
  • wadding
  • and… a cutter

Step 1: download, print and cut out the templates.

Step 2: with a pencil, outline the templates on the white felt.

Step 3: once the outlines are made, create a new outline at one centimeter from the first.

Step 4: cut out all of your shapes by following the outlines.

Step 5: turn the shapes on the other side so that you see the white side. Using a needle and some sewing thread, sew the two identical pieces together.

Step 6: leave a little space to fill up the shapes with a generous amount of wadding, by insisting in the corners.

Step 7: to finish, sew the opening and make a knot to close the shape up.

Step 8: apply a little glue on the high points of the shapes.

Step 9: lightly dust with glitter.

Step 10: using the templates as a base, cut out the cheeks in the pink felt and the eyes in the black felt. Cut out little white circles in the white felt.

Step 11: decorate your shapes according to the picture above or as you like.

Step 12: make a hole at the top of the shape using a cutter, near the stitches. Insert the nylon thread and tie a knot.

Step 13: twist the nylon thread around the branch and tie a knot.

Step 14: and you're done! Your little mobile is ready to be hung!
