Easter is right around the corner!

Create some pretty little Bunny and Chicken baskets for your kids,

so that they can go egg hunting and carry all of their chocolate!

For this DIY, you will need:

  • some yarn
  • a little pompom
  • a pair of scissors
  • a black marker
  • a glue stick
  • a paintbrush
  • yellow and white spray paint
  • black and red paint tubes
  • 2 cardboard cookie boxes

Step 1: download and print the templates.

Step 2: start by spray painting the boxes in white and black. Let them dry for 15 minutes.

Step 3: cut two pieces of yarn (about 40cm long) and paint them in red and black. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

Step 4: once the white box is dry, cut out the different features of the bunny basket in the template.

Step 5: glue the cheeks and then the eyes.

Step 6: turn over the box and glue the pompom at the bottom.

Step 7: punch two holes on the sides of the box using the tip of scissors and insert the black yarn. Tie a knot on each end on the inside of the box to fasten the yarn.

Step 8: cut out and glue all of the features of the chicken.

Step 9: glue the crest on the inside of the box.

Step 10: mark a fold on the end of each wing.

Step 11: apply some glue on the wings' flaps and glue the wings to the sides of the box.

Step 12: to create the beak, fold the triangle according to the guidelines and glue the two ends together to close it up.

Step 13: add the beak and the tummy, like on the picture.

Step 14: turn the box over and glue the tail.

Step 15: repeat step 7 and you're done!
