Christmas is almost here! It’s time to think about your decorations so you can create a world of magical characters inside your home for this festive period. Find out how to make Christmas gnomes to decorate your home. 

Christmas gnome DIY

For this workshop, you will need:  

  • 1 flannelette sock 
  • 1 sock for the hat 
  • 1 fake fur item for the beard 
  • 1 pair of scissors  
  • Wadding for stuffing 
  • 1 solid wooden ball (1 cm) 
  • Strong glue 
  • 1 freezer bag

Gnome Tutorial
Step 1: Put a good handful of wadding for stuffing in the freezer bag to form a ball

Step 2 : Pull a sock over it and close with a rubber band

Step 3: Cut the fake fur to make the beard and glue it to the sock at about the level of the elastic

Step 4: Glue on the wooden ball to make the gnome's nose

Step 5: Cut the leg part off the second sock and keep the foot piece

Step 6: Fix on a metal end to make the hat and you're done!
