This pretty pastel-toned garland will be perfect to decorate the children’s rooms,
as a baby mobile or simply inserted in a translucent vase.

Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
small balloons
balls of coton or yarn (for a more authentic feel)
liquid PVA glue
scissors
a paper plate
a plastic tray and greaseproof paper for the drying process
and…a needle
Steps
1
Step 1: start by blowing as many balloons as you want. Their size will match those of the yarn spheres.
2
Step 2: cut a long piece of coton thread or yarn (circa 150cm), put it in the cardboard plate and cover it with glue.
3
Step 3: mix them together to soak the yarn up with glue.
4
Step 4: you can make the first ball by surrounding it with the glued yarn.
5
Step 5: cover all of the balloon's surface by criss-crossing the yarn everywhere and leaving a bit of space for the balloon to come out later.
6
Step 6: that's what the yarn sphere should look like once you're done.
7
Step 7: start all of the previous steps all over again for each balloon. Let the spheres dry for at least 24 hours on the tray previously lined with greaseproof paper.
8
Step 8: burst the balloon gently with the needle.
9
Step 9: detach the balloon slowly with the help of the back of a needle, for example.
10
Step 10: do not worry if the sphere is slightly misshapen when taking out the balloons. The yarn can be remodeled with your fingers afterwards.
