Because it’s so soft and easily workable, you will be able to make every animal and object your heart desires.

For this DIY, you will need:

  • a cup of flour
  • half a cup of salt
  • 2 tea spoons of baking soda
  • a cup of water
  • a tea spoon of vegetable oil
  • a saucepan
  • a wooden spoon
  • natural food colouring
  • and…paint

Step 1: mix the flour, the salt and the baking soda in a saucepan - not on the stove.

Step 2: then, add the vegetable oil and the water little by litte.

Step 3: mix well to avoid lumps.

Step 4: the playdough is ready when it detaches from the saucepan.

Step 5: roll the dough into a compact ball.

Step 6: separate the dough in several pieces to colour them.

Step 7: add the first food colouring to one of the playdough balls.

Step 8: then, work the dough until the colour is nice and homogeneous.

Step 9: repeat the steps for all other colours.

Step 10: now, it's time to let the kids' imaginations run wild! Animals, cars, flowers... anything is possible!
