DIY for Kids: Let's Go Fishing!

For this DIY, you will need:

  • our free printable template to download below
  • spray paint
  • a wooden stick
  • a pair of gloves
  • small yoghurt pots
  • flexible wire
  • a tube of glue
  • scissors
  • a box cutter
  • a pencil
  • a sheet of foam paper
  • fishing line
  • and… a pin

Step 1: spray paint your yoghurt pots and leave to dry for around 30 mins.

Step 2: download, print and cut out the template. Fold the beak and spray paint the wings the same colour as the yoghurt pots.

Step 3: glue the beak and the wings onto the pot.

Step 4: use the pin to make two holes.

Step 5: put the wire through the holes and form a ring on top of the pot. Wrap the ends inside the pot.

Step 6: use the pencil to draw the contours of the pot (including the paws) on the foam paper. Glue it underneath the pot.

Step 7: draw the eyes with a black marker.

Step 8: spray paint your wooden stick and leave to dry.

Step 9: once dry, wrap the thread around the stick and make a know. Use the wire to form a hook and attach it to the end of the thread.
