For a trendy and festive birthday party, create this Mexican style colorful piñata!
Essentials
For this DIY, you will need:
our free template (download below)
cardboard
crepe paper
adhesive tape
glue
a pencil
and… a pair of scissors!
Steps

Step1: download and print our free template. Cut out the shapes. 2
Step 2: glue the two white parts together to form the head, then draw the outline with a pencil. 3
Step 3: repeat step 2 to shape another head. 4
Step 4: cut 4 strips of cardboard size 12x4cm and bend the ends as shown above. 5
Step 5: glue the strips on the first surface, then glue the second surface on top. 6
Step 6: cut 2 large strips of cardboard 7cm wide. 7
Step 7: tape them around the head and cut out the extra cardboard. Don’t forget to fill it with sweets and candies before closing! 8
Step 8: And finally close your piñata by gluing the second large strip. 9
Step 9: cut big strips of crepe paper and cut out fringes on one side. 10
Step 10: starting at the bottom glue the fringed strips all around the piñata, working upwards. 11
tep 11: glue the shapes on your piñata. The Calavera appears... 12
Step 12: and your piñata is done! For a trendier look, add little paper flowers on the top of the head! (refer to our workshop).
